George Clooney flaunts his male privilege

I had this idea that George Clooney was one of the good guys, but his self-satisfied obliviousness concerning male privilege and aging was on ghastly display today as a "trending" item on Facebook;

This Is Why George Clooney Says He'll Never Dye His Hair
"You have to come to terms with getting older and not trying to fight it," Clooney said in an interview with the BBC, adding that there's "nothing fun" about the process. "I'm a big believer in the idea that you can't try to look younger. You just have to try to look the best you can at the age you are."
How nice for him.

To get a sense of how extreme male privilege and aging is consider this - nobody made a big deal about the age difference between him and his wife - he's 17 years older.

But when Demi Moore was with Ashton Kutcher, their age difference was all anybody talked about and she's only 15 years older than Kutcher.

Not too long ago NYMag ran a piece about the growing age difference between male movie stars and their love interests as the males aged. Clooney was right up there with the worst of them.

FLAUNT THAT MALE PRIVILEGE BABY!
